A new blog

In my ramblings originally in my Blender Development Docs, I spoke about potentially starting a blog as part of my website. Well… it’s here, and still needs a little work to get to where I want but, so far the project is looking up. I still need to work on new graphics for both the documentation page and the blog, but overall the core systems are there.

For the most part, the Blog and Documentation sites both use the same Tech stack with the only difference being the layout and theme itself. The blog was setup to use the Catppuccin Mocha with Pink accents color scheme, as that is my personal favorite one.

Eventually I’ll build a custom CMS out of Kotlin for editing Astro repositories, such as my Documentation page and this blog, however for now I have configured my Visual Studio code for being my primary VMS tool since editing manually will be quite the hassle, especially on the blog side of the field. I went ahead and had Codex write the workspace configuration for me, since I honestly don’t know nor want to setup the Visual Studio code cms myself, however

Weekend Plans

I managed to get some time home for the weekend, and now that the two sites are up, I’m planning to do some graphics work, as I need to create new graphics for the Blender Development for Pycharm project as they are currently using temporary placeholder graphics I threw together months ago, then make new bespoke graphics for the Blog and Documentation sites as they are still using the placeholder logos put in by Codex.

Once the graphics are done I will take some time to write up some tutorials for the blog, and hopefully, if I still have time on Sunday do some video recording on those tutorials. Here’s to hoping I actually have the motivation for them though.
